I honestly can not remember when I first stumbled across Joshua’s work, but from the start I was amazed.  Not only can this fine fellow do some crazy vector illustrations, he can hand draw like a master.

He has an incredibly strong connection to how the illustration can tell a story, often without words, and how the image should make you react.

“Don’t be a lazy ass designer and rip or live trace my work.  Those designers are the plague of design and should have their fingers broken off and banned from the profession.”              Joshua Smith

Being a huge fan of minimalist or reductive design, when I stumbled across this simple movie poster series I absolutely fell in love with them.

Flashy photography and crazy lighting are not easy things to do well, but capturing an entire story well like is done here is pretty impressive.

Inspiration: You Need to Hear this Table

I was fortunate enough to stumble across this on Behance the other day.  A really cool way to introduce people to new music and get to see some amazing typography.

This is totally worth the few minutes to see!

Thibault de Fournas of France is responsible for making this stunning video on typography and some of its usages.  A video well worth viewing more than a couple times in a row.

A shout out to Will Hodges for showing me this simply breath taking typography video.  Give it a looksie!
